Vira Revenko will appear as a new character in “Cossack beyond the Danube”

People’s Artist of Ukraine Vira Revenko will first appear in front of the audience in a new image in the opera “Cossack beyond the Danube”. In the performance, which will be held on November 14, the soprano will perform the part of Odarka.

Vira Revenko graduated from Odessa State Conservatory (now Odessa National Music Academy) named after Antonina Nezhdanova in 1993. Since 1995 she has been working in the troupe of Odessa Opera House. She performs the roles in the operas “The Barber of Seville” by Rossini, “Viy” by Hubarenko, “Cavalleria rusticana” by Mascagni, “Carmen” by Bizet and others. She was awarded the title of People's Artist of Ukraine in 2016.

The other parts in the opera on November 14 will be performed by People's Artist of Ukraine Vasyl Navrotskyi (Ivan Karas), Honoured Artist of Ukraine Vladyslav Horai (Andrii), Anastasiia Holub (Oksana), Oleksandr Striuk (Sultan), Dmytro Sebov (Ibrahim-Ali) and Mykola Reshetnov (Selikh-aha).
