Three ballet artists will debut in the ballet “Yell”

Three ballet dancers will debut in the performance "Yell", which will take place on the stage of the theatre on Friday, August 16. Olha Pylypeiko will first dance the Goddess and the sisters Veronika and Anzhelika Levshyna will debut as Friends.

Olha Pylypeiko is a laureate of the 2nd prize of the international festival-competition "Odessa Pearls", Grand Prix of the 1st international competition of classical and modern choreography "Thought-Stream". She graduated from Odessa State Culture and Art College named after Konstantin Dankevich. She has been working in the ballet troupe of Odessa National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre since 2011.

Veronika and Anzhelika Levshyna also graduated from Odessa State Culture and Art College and the faculty of modern and classical choreography of Kiev National University of Culture and Art. They have been working in the ballet troupe of the theatre since 2005. They perform the parts in the ballets “Carmen Suite” by Bizet-Shchedrin, “Swan Lake”, “The Nutcracker” and “The Sleeping Beauty” by Tchaikovsky, “La Bayadere” by Minkus and others. This summer Veronika Levshyna has first performed one of the main parts in the opera-ballet “Viy”, she has appeared as Pannochka.

The ballet “Yell” was staged at Odessa Opera House in 2014 by a leading soloist of Bolshoi Theatre Andrii Merkuriev. The choreography interpretation of the novel “Go to Calvary” by Oleksandr Zinoviev became his debut as a choreographer.
