This week there are three ballet debuts

Three ballet artists debut in the performances of the Odessa Opera this week.

In particular, tomorrow on June18, the spectators will see Stanislav VARANKIN in Paquita for the first time. In the ballet by Ludwig Minkus he performs pas de trois together with Catherina BARTOSH and Anna TYUTYUNNIK.

This season Stanislav VARANKIN has had 5 debuts in the Odessa Opera productions. He has performed Benno in the Swan Lake, French dance in the Nutcracker by Tchaikovsky, Vanechka in the ballet-fantasia Aibolit XXI to the score by Nino Rota, the part of Friends in the ballet Yell (Krik) to the score by various composers and the choreographic composition A Lady and A Hooligan to the music by Dmitry Shostakovitch in the ballet gala The Ballet Fairy Show.

Honoured Artists of the Republic of Moldova Maria POLYUDOVA and Vladimir STATNY are leading in Paquita on June 18.

Two more debuts are coming in the ballet Yell (Krik) on June 19, the premiere of which was on May 14, 2014. The part of Goddess will be performed by Tatyana AFANYUTINA and Svyatoslav KVACHUK performs Antipod. Both artists are graduates of the Dankevich Odessa State Arts and Culture School.

Svyatoslav KVACHUK is well-known to the spectators as a permanent performer of the Koschey part in the ballet The Firebird by Stravinsky that was first presented on the stag of our theatre within the framework of the II International Odessa Opera Arts in last June.

Tatyana AFANYUTINA danced the lead female part during the open-air performance of the cantata Carmina Burana within the framework of the same festival. Moreover, she appears as Kitri, Kitri's friend, Street dancer and Gypsy girl in Don Quixote, as Gamzatti, trio of Shadows and pas d'action in the ballet La Bayadere, as the Lilac Fairy and Violente in the Sleeping Beauty, Fate in the Carmen Suite, Mirta in Giselle etc.

On upcoming Thursday the main lead part in the ballet Yell (Krik) is performed by Stanislav SKRYNNIK.
